Calling all Fashion Bloggers

Are you a fashion blogger like me?  Do you want to monetise your blog?  Affiliate Window can help you.

On Thursday 19th November, Affiliate Window held a Fashion Focus fantastic event to bring Fashion merchants and affiliates together.    The event featured the latest trends and products from 27 high-street fashion retailers including Joules Clothing, BeCheeky.com, Barratts, lookfantastic, and  Ted Baker.

The day began with a Fashion Expo where each merchant hosted an individual boutique showcasing their favourite products of the season. Accompanied by fashion affiliates and industry bloggers, the event continued with guests sharing insights on the hottest styles, digital developments within the fashion industry and a discussion panel debating an array of affiliate marketing hot topics.

“Working with affiliates has always been a no-brainer to me, but I feel a lot of people still don’t understand the benefits, or have reservations about how it will work for their brand. Events like Fashion Focus are great for bringing people together so these questions can be answered. Editorial sites can’t survive on advertising alone, so affiliate partnerships have never been more important”, said Gemma Cartwright, Editor of The Nod.

Fashion publishers Skimlinks (which I use), OSoYou, and Style Compare gave exciting and informative presentations on what to expect in 2010, including tips for merchants on ways to maximise the benefits of their affiliate programmes.

Esther Wrigley, Affiliate Manager at Boden added, “The Fashion Focus event was not only a great platform for us to meet and discuss ideas with our top affiliates, but also gave us the opportunity to speak with other brands and find out more on what’s working for them. We picked up some great hints and good contacts from the day and hope to implement these to improve our programme on Affiliate Window.”

After a few glasses of champagne and an afternoon of networking, the charity raffle commenced with prizes donated by a number of the participating merchants. As Corporate Partners with The Princes Trust, all monies raised at the event went towards their work supporting disadvantaged and underprivileged young people across the country.

Kevin Edwards, Strategy Director at Affiliate Window continued, “Events like this are vital in strengthening the relationship between affiliates and merchants. By enabling key fashion affiliates to showcase their businesses and plans for 2010 to some of the leading high street and online clothing brands, we’re well placed to ensure everyone is ahead of the curve next year. We’re finding our merchants are increasingly looking for innovative solutions and further engagement with the affiliate channel; Fashion Focus is a fundamental part of facilitating those opportunities”
